The same thing happens to me when I'm working on a book! I can't read for fun, it's like all of my book energy is focused on making rather than enjoying.
Haha deeply relate to being unable to read a single book at a time! The Faraway Nearby was a life-changing book for me, still one of my all-time favourites. Her book A Field Guide to Getting Lost is also wonderful <3
I love having the physical books but I read so much better on my Kindle--so much easier to get books from the library and then I have the app on my phone so if I'm on the subway or have a minute waiting somewhere I'll pull out my phone and instead of scrolling like a garbage person I can engage in some fine *literature.* Audiobooks are also so great for art-making, I'd love to hear your favorites!
