Every time I start a new children’s book, I have a bit of an existential crisis about the medium in which to draw it. The only exception were my first two books: back in 2016, I did not have a tablet and I did not know how to do so my ONLY option was ink.
Since then, I’ve gotten so much better at illustration in general — both traditional and digital — but I’ve never developed a “fixed” style. Each of my books looks so different (at least to me) and is a reminder of the different “eras” of I went through of simply learning how to draw pictures books as I drew them.
