On a serious note: yesterday there were national demonstrations against the teaching of SOGI in Canada (sexual orientation and gender identity curriculum) - these demonstrations were co-opted by right wing groups who say that SOGI is an evil ploy to (direct quote from a flyer) “promote homosexuality and transgender ideology, and normalize sexual deviancy.” Last week the Conservative Party also passed a policy that would bar children from accessing gender-affirming care.

Gay and trans rights are human rights. We all deserve safety and happiness, and to be seen and understood. Show up for your friends and don’t ever stop fighting.
