Happy Snow Day, to all those who observe.
I kept a meticulous diary in my teens and twenties (i still do, but nowadays I mysteriously have less time to write 9 pages a day about my feelings and it’s mostly just “today was great! well the melatonin is kicking in, good night”)

in this way, writing has always been a part of my life, but i never thought of this as writing so much as it was just externalizing my feelings so they wouldn’t destroy me.
FORMAL writing has always been a much more painful process, but I discovered a process for paper-writing in high school (!) that saved my life all through university AND seems to be working now.
