I’m back in little old Canada and rounding up some of the last few sketches from the travel sketchbook.
in almost four weeks I only used this sketchbook and neither of the watercolour albums, lol. Lessons learned!
Isle of Skye, continued
we watched so much Star Trek
Visited the Glenfinnan Viaduct (ie: Hogwarts Express) in the rain whilst monstrously hungover. Would not recommend ever being hungover

Reconfiguring travel plans was a little stressful
Painted scene on the left, finished on the right - I added window panes and a reflection digitally using Procreate. So much festive decor, but we missed the Christmas markets by a few days.
Beautiful bookstore - Topping & Co Edinburgh
I’m happy to be home, amazingly feeling creatively recharged and refreshed - I’m so excited to really dive into my book pitch (post about that incoming) and paint more Scotland scenes.

Excitingly, I have a cartoon in the December 5, 2022 issue of The New Yorker, about one of my formative traumas:

Thanks for reading!
