Live-drawing is one of my favourite things to do, and produces some of my favourite cartoons.
I love the looseness and spontaneity! Part of it comes from the presence of being in the moment, and a lot of it is the time constraint. I’ve always wanted to capture this in my professional work, but with how much I pore over details, a lot tends to come out very “polished” (for better or for worse).
I’m opening up commissions for the first time in forever, and trying something different - five minute portraits, drawn in (you guessed it) five minutes or less, with the intention of capturing the fun expressiveness of live-drawing. It will also give me more practise releasing work into the world that was drawn with a quick hand.
Portrait slots are limited! Paid subscribers got first dibs, but the posting is now being opened up to the general public.
The purchase page can be found here.
Thanks all!
