How a New Yorker daily cartoon gets made

Hello everyone,

Today is another glorious and sleep-deprived day, as I have managed to sell a New Yorker Daily Cartoon:

I assumed this might be too gross for them lol

Today I’m going to show you how the daily cartoon sausage gets made!

Content: daily cartoons are published online every weekday, and are topical. In Super Bad Times, like the 2020 election cycle and the pandemic, they very much revolved around the 24-hour news cycle and the specific anxieties of the cartoonists drawing them (read: my anxieties). Almost all of my cartoons nominated for the Pulitzer were daily cartoons driven by whatever horrific news had just happened that day.

This went out the morning that the Democrats won the Senate in Georgia, and then three hours later the Capitol Riots happened hahaha
